User-level authentication for docker-proxy

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

As an Acumos platform operator, I want to be able to both secure access to the platform docker registry at a user level, and also track docker pull operations for specific users.

This story will define and track implementation of the following functions:

      1) Authenticate docker-proxy users as Acumos platform users, using either an auth API provided by the Portal, or the current onboarding JWT API. The docker-proxy component may be implemented either as a Spring-based Java component, or as an enhancement to the current nginx-based docker proxy.

      2) Update deploy.sh and docs to clarify that the user account and password should be provided in the invocation of deploy.sh

      3) Log all actions through the docker-proxy, including login and pull operations. Since tokens are likely used post-login, logs may need to include the token (with some way to correlate to users), or a user-to-token table maintained.
